"Ok kid. I’m sorry, but it’s time for you to start reading a new fandom and telling me I’m great."
- Pentapusordering me asking me to beta her fic in yet another fandom of hers that I know absolutely nothing about.
P.S: She would also like everyone to know that she doesn’t know how to use tumblr and has now gone from creeping on my tumblr and reblogging a bajillion posts in a row from me to doing it to other people.
So I got the opportunity to ask a question to Mark Ballas during his livestream via Extra and my question was:
If you could have had a celebrity partner that wasn’t Christina Milian this season, who would it have been from Season 17?
His response was:
" Probably Amber. *laughs* Yeah, Amber was great, I got along really really well with her. She’s so.. awesome, just great personality, really inspiring, and you know, came a long way. Her journey really progressed, she always had natural rhythm, and musicality, but she really improved. I would’ve loved to be able to dance with her."
The interviewer said: She’s an amazing performer, she was always so entertaining, great facials!
He said: “Yeah, she just turns it on, just gives you 150%, no matter what and you know it was really cool to watch.”
Sciles cuddles at Stiles' cause Stiles still doesn't believe that his dad is alive and Scott really couldnt bring himself to face Isaac (cause dude, that's my ex-girlfriend). Maybe a reference to Glen Capri (cause I mistakenly re-watched and now the tears have returned) and just overall fluff cause Scott&Stiles partners in crime, friends to lovers to critics to loners forever.
this isn’t very fluffy it’s just very very sad i’m so sorry
"Jennifer’s dead," Scott says numbly. He feels utterly empty, drained of all life.
"Yeah," Stiles sighs, next to him. He’s still covered in dust, a gash in his forehead that Melissa’s inspected and deemed that Stiles should not be alone for a little while.
"I’m an alpha," Scott tells Stiles.
Stiles flashes him a brief grin. “Yeah you are,” he says.
"What do you think everyone else is doing?" Stiles asks, after a short pause.
"Isaac’s with Allison," Scott says quietly. "Derek and Cora have left. Lydia’s with Aiden."
"Boyd and Erica are dead," Stiles finishes.
"Yeah," Scott sighs gustily.
Stiles wraps his arm around Scott’s shoulders, and Scott leans in and rests his cheek on Stiles’ shoulder. He’s never been more grateful for the difference in their height.
"Remember when our only worry was making first line on the lacrosse team?"
"And getting laid, eventually," Stiles reminds him. "I didn’t have to worry about my dad dying all the time."
"You did, anyway," Scott says, and Stiles smiles weakly.
"Comes with the territory," Stiles says.
"You saved him."
Stiles shuts his eyes, rests his cheek against the top of Scott’s head.
"You saved me, too," Scott says quietly, turning to face Stiles. Stiles’ arm, previously draped loosely over his shoulders, drops as they get further apart until only his fingers are tracing the fine hairs on the back of Scott’s neck.
Stiles presses a kiss to Scott’s forehead, so gentle it twists at something inside of Scott.
"I wouldn’t be alive without you," Stiles tells him.
"Yeah," Scott says.
There’s not much else to say, after that, so Scott tilts his head back and presses their lips together
friends who have kindles/kindle fires: do you like them???
my big concern is the cloud storage! i want a tablet/ereader mostly for when i’m on the go, and thus the times when i will have no wireless access to cloud storage are the most crucial. is the storage on the actual device enough?? i’m looking at the 16GB kindle fire!
also, can you read/watch non-amazon content? can you download fics from AO3 and read as ebooks or PDF’s?
I have a kindle with wi-fi and I love it. I commute a lot now with work+classes and so I end up reading on it a lot. I’ve downloaded a lot of fics from AO3 and you can also send document files to your personal kindle address for them to be turned into kindle format too, or use Calibre to do it if it’s not AO3 or otherwise .mobi formatted docs.
16GB is a LOT of space for just text based documents, I’d say it’s probably a lot even if you get the kindle fire and want to also view some video content. No wireless/cloud access doesn’t hurt what’s already on your kindle, I mostly only connect to wi-fi to sync from my kindle purchases or just documents I’ve formatted through my amazon account, it’s otherwise unconnected.
I’ve heard good things about the paperwhite, but I use my older kindle with a clip-on light for darker times, I really like the e-ink screens, it’s a lot more soothing to my eyes than general tablet screens for long reading sessions. Also, bonus, the screen is responsive even while wearing ordinary gloves!
