You look just like your father: split face portraits of family members
Ulric Collette is a photographer from Quebec. He studied art and graphic design at school and currently works as an art director for Collette, an advertising studio in Quebec City.
In this series, called Genetic Portraits, Ulric splices together portraits of family members to explore genetic similarities.
From parents and their children, to twins, siblings and cousins, the series is fascinating, and just a little bit spooky.
The project was shortlisted for a Cannes Lion.

Hi! You know how these things go. Nomenicide’s FINALLY opening up art commissions in the style you’re all seeing up there, so if you’ve always wanted him to draw you a thing for your blog or your sidebar or a button or a blow up doll (i.e. whatever you please) then now’s your chance.
Here’s the price range for those cute as fuck noodle-arm babies:
$10 for a simple colored character sketch with a simple background
+ $5 for every additional character
*If you want a sketch without coloring that’s fine, but the price will stay the same.
*If you want a simple gif like this one, please let him know and you can negotiate the price.
*Ditto with more elaborate backgrounds.
As for what and how you can request:
- Absolutely anything in the way of fandoms or OC’s, but please provide references if he tells you he’s unfamiliar with them. Mind you, he’s unfamiliar with a lot of things, he lives under a rock.
- NO LIMITS in terms of content, but you know, please don’t request things like pedophilia, bestiality, scat, etc.
- Be as specific as you like! If you’re gonna be vague, do so at your own risk. He might add a surplus of cats (not really).
- The artist has the right to refuse to draw something if it makes him uncomfortable. Please don’t be mean about it.
- No need to pay upfront, but no backing out once he’s started. Transactions will be made through Paypal, so please have an account!
